We support families with children from birth to 5 years of age through building parenting capacity, enhancing parent-child relationships, and strengthening a family’s connections with supports in their community. Job Description

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT  in accordance with The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement 2019. Shift times and days may be varied according to the needs of the organisation. Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. The majority of Karitane’s services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave. This position may be required to provide clinical services via Telehealth in a work from home capacity.
Karitane supports a smoke free environment including grounds, buildings and vehicles. Applicants will have a commitment to EEO & WHS, ethical practice and the principles of cultural diversity.
Relevant Police Check, Working with Children Check, Apprehended Violence Orders and prior employment checks, including relevant disciplinary proceedings, will be conducted on recommended applicants.

VACCINATIONS

Category A workers are required to meet and maintain the vaccination criteria (as per the current NSW Health policy directive) including annual influenza vaccinations.

Desired Skills and Experience

PURPOSE

The position holder will assist and support Karitane’s vision through the continual pursuit of excellence in providing Secretarial/Administrative Support, which seeks to exceed customer needs and one that is efficient and effective in the safe use of both people and material resources. All Karitane staff provide safe, effective, quality care consistent with the organisation’s mission, philosophy, values and standards of care, and adheres to the Professional Code of Conduct.

Key Selection Criteria: (Each criteria must be addressed in your application)  

  1. Secretarial/ Administration Experience
  2. Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Demonstrated computer skills utilising Microsoft Office Programs, CRM and other relevant platforms that services require.
  4. Experience in data entry.
  5. Experience in Patient Management Systems E.g. Patient Administration System (PAS)
  6. Experience in preparing correspondence, reports and taking minutes.
  7. Demonstrated organisational & prioritisation skills.
